Create a product

Add a product, define its variants and prices, and register or link the stock you own.

You need Owner or Manager access in a seller workspace.

Add product details

In Products, find Create at the far right of the toolbar. It opens the full-screen product form.

Start in Products, then select Create to open the product form.Cossad interface shown with sample data.
  1. Open Products and select Create. The Create product dialog opens on the Details step.
  2. In Details, enter a Title. Add a Subtitle, Handle and Description as needed.

CreateOpens Create product. The form has Details, Organize and Pricing & stock steps; it does not create a record until you save.
Continue / BackContinue moves to the next step. Back returns to the previous step. You can also select a step name to review that part of the form.
Save as draft / PublishSave as draft stores your work as Draft. Publish is the final-step action and applies the catalog publication checks.
  1. Under Media, select Upload images to choose your product images. Selected files appear in the form; use the remove button beside a filename to remove that pending file before saving.
Media selected locally; images upload when the product is saved.Cossad interface shown with sample data.
  1. For size or specification options, enable Yes, this is a product with variants. Add option groups and values, then select Generate variants. Use Add custom option for your own option name, such as Size, or use Add option to choose from the existing option library. Enter a value and select Add value for each choice you need.
  2. Select Continue.

A product without options receives one default variant. For a product with options, review the generated combinations and remove any you do not own. Updating option values does not add physical inventory. You can manage reusable option definitions from Products → Options.

Organize the product

  1. In Organize, enter Brand or manufacturer.
  2. Choose a category under Category & subcategory.
  3. Optionally assign a Type, Collection or Shipping profile.
  4. Select Continue.

Organization and optional details

Category & subcategory opens the platform category picker. Select an available path; the selection is used for this product. The optional Type, Collection and Shipping profile lists use definitions already available in your workspace.

Where to clickWhat opens or changes
Tags & workspace categoriesExpands the available workspace category and tag checkboxes. Selecting a value organizes this catalog product; it does not publish a sale request.
Additional product detailsExpands Material and Product attributes. Add attribute creates fields for its name, type and value; Remove attribute removes that pending row.
Physical attributesInside Additional product details, expands Requires shipping, dimensions, weight, units, MID code, HS code and country of origin. These describe the catalog product, not a warehouse quantity adjustment.
MetadataInside Additional product details, expands Metadata JSON. Enter a JSON object with up to 40 text key/value pairs; never include secrets or customer data.

Attribute types are TEXT, NUMBER, BOOLEAN, DATE and SELECT. A number can have a unit; a SELECT attribute needs allowed values and a chosen value. Size or color choices that define purchasable variants belong in product options instead. All of these edits remain in the form until you save.

Set prices and stock

  1. In Pricing & stock, review each variant’s Title, SKU and Base price USD. A SKU must be unique in your seller catalog.
  2. Under Actual stock, confirm independent ownership.

Create variants / Sync option combinationsCreates rows when there are none, or syncs rows to your option combinations. Matching existing variants retain their details; removed historical variants are archived. These controls do not register stock.
Add variant manuallyFor a product with variants, adds a variant row. Give it a title, unique SKU and a valid, unused combination of option values before saving.
ArchiveRemoves a new, unsaved variant row or marks an existing variant for archival when you save. Historical variants are preserved rather than deleted.
Advanced variant settingsShows Managed inventory and Inventory kit controls. Published variants require managed inventory with backorders disabled.
  1. For a new, unlinked variant, select Register actual owned stock for this new variant and enter the actual quantity, location, condition and inventory prices. This option applies to a new variant without an existing inventory link. Enter the in-stock quantity you actually own, not a forecast or an option combination count.
Stock fields for size S; no new stock submitted.Cossad interface shown with sample data.
  1. To use stock that already exists, expand Link existing stock / inventory kits and choose the appropriate inventory item. A standard variant uses one stock unit. If you enable Inventory kit, use Add item to link the required components and set each Required quantity per kit.

For multiple new variants, expand Apply stock to multiple variants, enter Quantity per variant, Common location and Common condition, then select Apply to new variants. This fills the pending stock fields only for new, active variants without existing stock links. Review each row before saving; it does not overwrite existing stock. In the kit editor, the remove button beside an inventory item removes that component link from the pending form, not the warehouse stock.

Additional price fields

Expand Additional currencies & quantity prices to add catalog price rows. Choose a Currency and select Add currency to variants, or select Add regional / quantity price for a variant. Review Currency, optional Region, Minimum quantity and Amount. The remove button beside an additional price removes that pending row. These price records do not enable new checkout currencies, and they do not replace the positive base USD price required for publication.

Expand Barcode & manufacturer model beneath a variant’s stock fields to add Barcode / UPC and Manufacturer model. These identifiers describe the variant; they do not create stock.

Save a draft or publish

  1. Select Save as draft to store the product without publishing it. This is available once you have entered a Title; any other fields you have entered must still be valid.
  2. To publish the catalog product, complete the form and select Publish on Pricing & stock.
  3. After a successful save, the dialog closes and the product detail page opens. If validation fails, read the message in the form, correct the relevant fields and save again.

Publishing requires business verification and pilot eligibility approval, a brand and platform category for this creation flow, a description of at least 10 characters, and at least one active variant. Each active variant needs actual available stock, managed inventory with backorders disabled and a positive base USD price. The CSV pilot supports physical inventory; real products need actual inventory photographs. A disabled Publish button does not prevent you from preparing a valid draft.

Cancel or the dialog’s close button leaves an unsaved new form without creating a product. If a save or image upload has already partly succeeded before an error, do not assume closing the form undoes that saved work; review the product before retrying. When editing an existing Published product in this full editor, Save as draft changes it back to Draft.

Next, open the product details to learn the individual section menus, or import inventory when your product and stock data are already in a CSV.
